Nikka Jones Bowers, Mrs. Wayne County United States® 2011

Nikka and her husband Bruce, have been married for nine years and together they have three children. The Bowers's own the Simple Life Bath & Body Company, which manufactures and retails natural-based pampering products. In addition to running the family business, Nikka pursued a Bachelors of Arts degree at Wayne State University and is currently studying to be a registered nurse.

Nikka serves as the project director of the C.L.F. Project (Clothe Me, Love Me, Feed Me) and is a board member to National Association of Full Figured Teens (NAFFT). Her platform, "Fun First", embraces the benefits of good mental and physical health combined with nutrition, body movement and plain old fashion fun.

Nikka’s philosophy on life is: “A life well lived is not made up of pounds and inches. It is the sum of embracing simple, happy moments, performing random acts of kindness, and learning the power of gratitude.”
